This web site is part of the overall strategy for pulling the Project Sivunmun together. It is a place that students can visit, and engage in learning activities, where teachers can access lessons plans and support materials, and a place where all can share and celebrate their learning with each other and with others outside the North Slope Borough.

The Alaska Native Education Program of the North Slope Borough School District was awarded a Federal Education Assistance grant to undertake Project Sivunmun. Sivunmun is an Inupiaq Eskimo word that expresses the concept of looking forward.
