The North Slope Borough School District and The City of Barrow hosted the Elder’s Christmas Dinner on December 15th, 2010. We would like to thank Mayor Bob Harcharek for co-hosting the Elders Christmas Dinner, and with wonderful support and volunteers, the City of Barrow and NSBSD helped make this special holiday event possible. We would also like to thank Pauline Olemaun, who organized the event, who coordinated the food delivery with Bob Eason our NSBSD Food Service Coordinator, and the use of the North Slope Borough Senior Citizens cafeteria facility for the event. The Assistant Superintendent Lisa Parady, Chief Administrating Officer Fred Parady, Coordinator for Curriculum and Instruction Kathy Ahgeak, and Member of the Board of Education Arnold Brower, Jr. came together during the dinner to thank our elders and expressed it was a wonder Christmas experience. Thank you for all you have done.
