The option to play digital audio from the CD-ROM needs to be enabled by following these steps:

  1. Right-Click the "My Computer" icon on the desktop.cd1
  2. Select Properties from the menu.
  3. Select the "Hardware" tab.
  4. Select the "Device Manager" button.
  5. Find the CD-Rom drive and select the "+" to the left of it.cd2
  6. Right-click on the CD-ROM drive model.
  7. Select Properties from the menu.
  8. Select the "Properties" tab.
  9. Select the empty box to the left of, "Enable digital CD audio for this CD-ROM device."

  10. Once a check has appeared, select the "OK" button on all windows with that option and close all others.

Your CD-Rom will now play audio CD's.
