On September 15, students at Kiita welcomed Western State (Colorado) basketball coach and former UAF coach Al Sokitis. Coach Sokitis visited spoke briefly on setting goals and challenged each student to reach for their dreams. He explained to students the need to use both sides of the brain and to take care of their bodies. The presentation ended with a challenge to students to set a goal for the month of October and email him on November 1 to update him on individual progress.
