Situated in Barrow, Alaska we also hold the distinction of being the largest elementary in the state with about 600 students in Early Childhood Education through 5th grade.

Our school is named after Fred Ipalook, a Native teacher from Barrow who was described as a "natural born teacher" and a man of "quiet dignity." He taught on the North Slope of Alaska for over 40 years incorporating his self-taught talent in music with his students and community.
