Thirteen students and their teacher, Rob Johnson, attended the AFN convention in Anchorage this past October. The students, their parents and several community members helped with several cakewalks, bake sales and pizza sales to raise money for the trip. The students spent their time at AFN learning about native issues and meeting with other young people from all over Alaska. They also made some educational side trips to Anchorage museums and to the University Alaska Anchorage campus. The students also spent some well-earned free time shopping and eating out in Anchorage.
