Point Lay is located on the Chuckchi Sea coast, protected from the open ocean by the Kasugaluk Lagoon and is 152 miles southwest of Barrow.

Wainwright

Wainwright is located along a wave-eroded coastal bluff on the West Side of a narrow peninsula, which separates Wainwright Inlet from the Chukchi Sea. Wainwright is about 72 air miles southwest of Barrow.
