    ** Choice Activity **
    Please choose from the following four activities, each is a module from the UbD Guide to Advanced Concepts in Creating and Reviewing Units. (There are likely copies of this book at your site, but we have also included copied versions for your convenience.)
    • ŸActivity Choice 1 – Module I, Unpacking Standards
    • ŸActivity Choice 2 – Module L, Sharpening Essential Questions and Understandings
    • ŸActivity Choice 3 – Module M, Authentic Assessment and Validity
    • ŸActivity Choice 4 – Module N, Differentiating- Tailoring the Learning Plan to the Learners
    10:15-10:30 Break  
    10:30-12:00 Continue work from above, or if finished, submit the following to your principal, or lead facilitator:  
    • Answer the questions/complete the tasks at the end of your chosen module. You can use the unit you wrote last year, or a unit you are thinking about developing this year.
    • In addition, please write a short statement about how you might use the information from the module to enhance your day-to-day planning and/or teaching process.

    Once completed, you have the rest of the day to work on revising your unit from last year, finding and adopting an orphan *O unit, or beginning a new unit.
    12:00-1:00 Lunch  
    1:00-3:45 –  Continue work from before lunch  
    3:45-4:00 –   Reflection and Q&A’s at site
