Athletics and Activities

The School District encourages student participation in co-curricular activities. These activities include but are not limited to Debate, Drama, National Honor Society, Academic Decathlon, Student Council, Talent Show, Battle of the Books, Journalism, Science Fair, Science Olympiad, Spelling Bee, FEA, Musical Presentations, Cross Country, Football, Cheer, Basketball, Volleyball, Wrestling, NYO, Elders Youth/AFN, Iñupiaq Leadership, Close-Up, and other approved organized school activities.

The School Board recognizes that extracurricular and co-curricular activities enrich the educational and social development and experiences of students and shall annually adopt a plan for student participation in extra/co-curricular activities that does not compromise the integrity and purpose of the educational program.
