District and School Report Cards

Each year the State of Alaska, school districts, and individual schools publish a Report Card to the Public that summarizes the performance of each public school and its students. The North Slope Borough School District has prepared report cards for each of the 11 schools in the District, as well as a District Report Card to the Public.

Each report card includes a section addressing the following components: school/district statistics, assessments, accountability requirements, and teacher qualifications. The Report Card to the Public provides information about specific subject areas  as well as subgroups.

Historically, the North Slope Borough School District compiled the data and presented The Report Card to the Public in an Excel spreadsheet. In 2018 the State of Alaska wanted to streamline the presentation of the cards and began to digitize the Report Card to the Public. The North Slope Borough School District and each individual school’s 2018-2019 Report Card to the Public is available on the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development (DEED) website and accessible through the links below.

All
subsequent Report Cards to the Public will be available through links provided on this page.

2018-2019

2019-2020

In response to Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development (DEED) has submitted a request to the U.S. Department of Education (US ED) to waive certain requirements of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA, section 1111) related to assessment requirements.

On March 23, 2020, US ED gave notification to DEED that the wavier will be approved. As a result, spring 2020 administrations of the following assessments have been cancelled:

  • PEAKS content area assessments in Mathematics, English Language Arts, and the Alaska Science Assessment
  • Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM) alternate assessment
  • WIDA ACCESS for ELLs and Alternate ACCESS
As a result, there is not a 2019-2020 Report Card to the Public.
