The Emergency Broadband Benefit is an FCC program to help families and households struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. This new benefit will connect eligible households to jobs, critical healthcare services, virtual classrooms, and so much more.

On Wednesday, Alaska Department of Education and Early Development Commissioner Michael Johnson announced the 2021-2022 Alaska Teacher of the Year. And NSBSD's own Kevin Neyhard, Science Teacher at Eben Hopson Middle School in was named the first runner up/alternate. CONGRATULATIONS, KEVIN NEYHARD!

Due to a positive COVID 19 test result involving a NSBSD student athlete at the Mixed Six Volleyball Tournament in Utqiagvik on Saturday, April 17 we have been advised to quarantine all the teams in Barrow Schools for the next 10 days.

NSBSD is hosting a Mixed 6 Volleyball tournament at Barrow High School on Thursday, April 15th and on Friday, April 16th.

The North Slope Borough School District (NSBSD/Lease) is seeking to lease housing units in Utqiagvik, Atqasuk, Kaktovik, Nuiqsut and Point Hope, Alaska. These units will be used to provide employee housing to NSBSD employees.
