In November, North Slope Borough School District (NSBSD) students attended an NSB Mystic Educational and Cultural Exchange. The student's trip included visiting sites at the New Bedford Whaling Museum, Mashantucket Pequot Museum and learning about scientific field research and hands-on activities within the disciplines of marine biology.

Below is an excerpt from the presentation and .pdf file attached.

Thanks to the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation for hosting the students at their Community Center, the Museum and dinner; the NSB Department of Wildlife Management (DWM) for Robert Suydam and Leslie Pierce’s 2019 travel; the NSBSD for chaperone Timmothy Ferreira, NSB Mayor’s Office for chaperone Sophie Tracey; and NSB Mayor’s Office continued funding and support the last seven trips since 2010.
