The NSBSD will begin piloting the delivery of educational materials beginning on Monday, March 23. On March 30, we will begin the full scale roll-out of our distance delivery program.

As stated by Governor Dunleavy, distance delivery of education will continue as schools remain closed until May 1, 2020. Our distance delivery program will have multiple delivery methods. Some students with no or limited internet will receive packets, while others will be able to access their information through internet and cellular service. Teachers and staff will be available to ask questions about homework during the school day. Each site has been connecting with families and will communicate their individual plans to parents next week.

In addition, we are partnering with KBRW to provide story time over the radio. KBRW has provided three 30 minute spots each day. We are looking forward to meeting the challenges of providing education over the last 7 weeks of school.

This will not change meal service. The NSBSD continues to be committed to providing meals to those we serve.
